  Nice little place. The food was good. Was sad they didn't have rice and beans though. If you're out in the crooked tree area, give them a try.

  The atmosphere is country style. So if you love the outdoors, you will love it there. As for the food, it is prepared fresh daily and it is always tasty. Those ladies put a lot of love in their food...it's close to home made.

  When you're in Crooked Tree this is THE place to eat. Carrie and the other ladies are a joy. Stay and eat - you won't regret it. It's a bit hard to find, as other reviews have noted. Just trust and drive through the gate and behind the house by the road.

  The signage is minimal and it isn’t 100% clear that you are approaching a restaurant and not a house. Keep going! And anyone in the little neighborhood seems to know where it is and can help direct you. The food is phenomenal. It came to our table quickly. Everyone was friendly. The cucumber ginger water is stout. We reused the bottles and the water was cucumbery every time. This meal was a highlight meal of the trip.

  We ate at Carrie's Kitchen every day of our stay in Crooked Tree - sometimes twice in one day! Don't be dissuaded by the exterior, it's a very local/casual place, and the food is delicious. Salbutes are my new favorite Belizean food. The stew chicken is also excellent, and a good sized portion.
