  Very small cozy place - good to let them know ahead that you want to dine there. We felt like welcome guests , with the family watching tv from the other table. Great local food

  This is by far my favorite place to eat in Belize. A great atmosphere with friendly people. Joy is an amazing cook and hostess.

  We were staying nearby on a Saturday night, and looking for some Garifuna cuisine. Joy served us a huge portion of hudut with a choice of fish, pigtail or lobster (we had one with fish & the other with fish & pigtail). Her husband found a place for us to sit in the small establishment which was busy with a women's card tournament! We loved the opportunity to eat local homemade food in a fun environment - the music was pumping & plenty of locals were dropping in for takeout. Joy & her husband took the time to make sure we enjoyed our meal and felt welcome. If you're looking for an authentic local experience, give this a try! Our meal of hudut for 2 with one beer each (Belikin, of course...one lager, one stout) came to BZ$70. We were given a free Johnny cake to share with our meal 😁 There was so much food it would satisfy a large appetite!
