::I was really looking forward to trying the whole fried snapper that everyone talks about, but this visit was a major letdown. Our server told us that anything we ordered would take about 30 minutes β which was fine β but after waiting, my friendsβ food came out and I was told they had no more snapper left, except for the one they gave to someone else at my table. It was frustrating to wait that long just to find out they were out of what I ordered, especially since no one came to tell me sooner so I could choose something else. The food my friends received looked decent, but the service and communication were really poor. If youβre visiting, double-check availability before you order β especially for the snapper.

::Stopped at the Wet Lizard after our excursions and before returning to our ship. First time in this port and it is so.cute and lively with a fun vibe. We wanted a quick local snack and ordered Belikin, the local beer, conch ceviche, jerk pork tacos and rice and beans. The servers were nice and friendly. Its open air right in the midst of the terminals in port. The beers were ice cold. The conch ceviche small.portion was massive. Fresh and flavorful and served with fresh authentic tortilla chips and loaded with conch. The jerk pork tacos were excellent. Tender flavorful pork with a nice sauce and served with a side of chips and Pico. My husband really liked the beans and rice. They were my least favorite item though really not bad. We enjoyed sitting at the bar on the water in the open air with lively music playing. Prices seemed reasonable as well. Perfect end to our day in Belize City!

::We stopped here 15 years ago on a cruise and had the ceviche. It was so good that I thought about it often and we FINALLY got to visit again last week. The ceviche was exactly as I remembered it and worth the wait!!

::This was our favorite food on our vacation, it was so delicious!! Our waitress was sweet, helpful, and made great drinks. We hope to visit again one day. Thank you Wet Lizard!

::The Wet Lizard is in the Port of Belize City, closer to terminal 4. They use a great them going and have some great deals on the local beer ($3 a bottle). Ceviche is FABULOUS and was fresh, sweet, and delicious. Great spot to hangout before heading back to your ship. Service was not great, that was my only issue with the place.
