::WATER PRESSURE -AMAZING. HOT WATER! I'm usually the first to complain about low water pressure, hardly ever start of by how great it is. But here at Alan's, it was really the star of the stay. Which is great because it's hot and you may need to take multiple showers daily. The place is a great cozy spot. Wife and I stayed there 4 nights with no issues, could have easily stayed several weeks. The first night, I thought the bed was uncomfortable, but slept fine the remaining night. AC works great. The patio is great too watch the canal boats. The kitchen had everything. The location was perfect for Lobsterfest and walking around the point. Close enough to come home to use the facilities, but far enough to not be part of the party at night. Unless you want to go explore the northern part, there isn't a need to have a golf cart here, lots of places near to walk to. They even took us and our luggage to the bus stop on their golf cart. We'll definitely look into this place if we return.

::The rooms are simple but clean. Off the beaten path. Beautiful views in the sitting areas. The food is PHENOMENAL! The staff and owners are wonderful! A good time was had by all!!

::I really enjoyed my stay there. It was supposed to be only one night but ended up staying 3. Very good price for what you get compared to anywhere else i have been in Belize. Comfy bed, a/c, hot water shower, short walk away if you have to park a car but you can bring a motorcycle right in, food is good, you can get your laundry done there, good wifi, they lend you bicycle and kayak for free and the staff is great! I don’t think it can get any better than this in Belize. Close enough to everything i did not even use the bicycle and far enough that loud music from other bars are not a problem at night. Placencia is a great place to chill and explore too.

::We enjoyed our brief stay at Alan's. There really is an Alan, and he was a pleasant fellow to chat with. In fact, while the place had great A/C, great wifi, hot water and a small fridge in the room (two beds, two people for BZD$150/night), and also had a restaurant with decent food and staff that's pretty flexible, the thing we loved most was the atmosphere. We sat in the restaurant/bar along with several other guests and chatted the night away. It had a real friendly, comfortable family-like atmosphere. People were coming and going, joining in the conversation and having a wonderful time. The dining area is literal feet from the water; bicycles and kayaks are available for guest use. There is a parking lot a block away for cars; motorcycles can drive down the narrow lane into the secure parking lot. A shuttle service with golf carts is provided to/from your car. Look carefully at the photos to find the road into the place. It's just a short walk to other restaurants, grocery stores and dive shops.
