::Very bad experience with this company…. Reserved car for November 18 at 09:00 for $149 (we traveled with 2yo kid)— they come 1 hour or 1,5 hour later to terminal 4, than we drive 20min to they office(transfer guy was very nice and friendly-that was only one good thing) in the office again spent 30-40min with paperwork, guy who do the paperwork was super rude and made us take extra insurance, even though I told him several times that I didn't need it for 3 hours, and I should pay them if something happens but he still insisted on his….. instead of spending more time and seeing more places in Belize we just loose our day. I would never recommend anyone to rent a car from them-they too expensive $180 for 15 year old car that madness plus gas in Belize more than $11 per gallon.

::Another great rental experience from AQ Belize rental. I come to Belize at least 5 times a year and this is the only rental service I use. We have a son who is a missionary in San Ignacio and everyone who comes and visits we have them rent through AQ Rental. The staff is always friendly. Special shout out to Shawn and Mackall for the kindness in making this rental another great experience. Very loyal customer of AQ Rental. See y’all in December.

::We had a really great experience using AQ car rental. We had a Chevy equinox. It wasn’t the most impressive car but did exactly what we needed it to do and at a lower price point than a lot of the companies. The company gave us a ride from their office down to the water taxi which was really useful.

::RIP OFF SHORT TERM. Two locals told me it was great. Rent local - usually do. NOT cheap when renting 3 days and under so DO NOT USE THEM. Old car got 14 mpg and noisy belt slipping and drivers window dead. Compared to a semi decent car getting 20 mpg I paid $71 more for gas over the 276 miles. Keep that in mind. They force you to buy comprehensive, deduct protection, tire etc for short term 3 days and less which adds up to about as much as the “cheap” car costs. $207 for car and $150 for forced insurance. Took half an hour to get the car and made me nervous by asking me multiple times to take photos and video of car! Are they going to charge me for some barely visible scratch after? Or the excessive dirty charge of $25! Super nice people but NOT worth the time money and support of local business. Perhaps a long term rental and completely rejecting all coverages works.
