  I got back to the city really late this was our last resort hotel. I doubt our room was cleaned I had to get another sheet just to put on the bed that was full of ants. Hair was dried and stuck in the shower plastic on the mattress and woodlice falling from the ceiling smh. We couldn't sleep we were out at 7:30 couldn't stay there any longer.

  Despite the name, it never occurred to us the main reason this hotel exists is for the hourly rates. It was a close walk from the bus station to the water taxi the next morning. We enjoyed the stay overall, the water pressure in the showers were great and worth it for that alone. The staff were very friendly and it is a secure place with only the 24 hour staff being able to unlock your door.

  BEWARE!! Despite Waheed being helpful and kind after our initial conversation, we felt unsafe. The listing is misleading. This was listed on Airbnb and it was not what it is described in the listing. It was not clean, odorous and we felt uneasy. We were informed it was no longer primarily for tourists but rather for short term rentals: 1-3 hour stays. We saw numerous young women and older men paying with cash to stay on this premise. It was not safe for 2 young women to stay in. Our first room was dirty- the toilet was not cleaned and debris on the floor. After discussing with the women at the front desk (who was very helpful) the room was switched. We never realized the options had a pole in the centre of the room and a mirror on top of the bed. We chose another room. The rooms were odorous, unclean and stuffy. We inquired when the free continental breakfast was, as advertised on Airbnb, and we were told it doesn’t happen anymore. When we discussed this concern with the owner he became elevated and showed us the price he puts the place for on google and we received a deal through Airbnb. It was dark, in a dangerous city and we felt uncomfortable trying to organize a new hotel or cab to leave. Please do not stay at this residence unless some serious changes are made. It had the potential to be a fine stopover from Caye caulker or San Pedro but it was not a good experience for us.

  I just in general would not recommend staying in Belize City, since it's just not for tourists. We had no choice because we had to take the ferry the next day. The rooms are nice! The only thing that really bothers me is that they said on the airbnb site that the breakfast would be included. We booked it because of this reason. We did not like the idea of looking for something decent in the area. They told us they don't have the breakfast anymore. I just think it is a bit messy to leave it on the airbnb site when it is not the case. To me that seems like lying.

  We needed a place to stay before our morning flight out of Belize, while staying on a budget. Staff was very friendly and helpful, room was a good size and tidy, but the bathroom ceiling was very mouldy and kind of gross, and bed pretty uncomfortable. There's nothing really in the area except one Restaurant, however the noise all night was pretty unbearable. All night people in and out of the main door and walking and yelling past our room. We don't expect much for $65CND, but it was pretty bad. Breakfast in the morning was toast/cereal and fruit, it was okay. Next time I'd probably try to find somewhere else to stay and "splurge" a little!
