::Drive to the South End of the island and you will find a little treasure of a restaurant with some of the very best service on the island. Air conditioned, quiet and very tasteful ambiance with lots of room for parking. They greeted us by name at the door and escorted us to our table where they gave us wonderful eucalyptus infused towels to wipe our hands with. We had margaritas, plural, which were excellent and the bartender Jordanie is nominated for bartender of the year on the island. The staff, Maritza (manager), Christina (our waitress) and Jasmin (who also came by to say hi and ensure we had everything) were some of the finest trained waitstaff you will find here. Kudos to the kitchen, Chef Marco and Chef Tyra and Jessie and Alex for our artistically presented and delicious dinners. We had the shrimp scampi and the blackened snapper and we enjoyed every bite. We even used some of the extra homemade bread they serve when you arrive to wipe the plate! And a huge plus is they offer cappucino and coffee and unlike several places we've been to, they served it precisely on time with our desserts. There were several desserts to chose from and we ordered the molten lava cake and added their homemade coconut icecream and also ordered carrot care which was served as a round piece with frosting on all sides which made it perfect. Had to bring half the desserts home as we were stuffed! We had a thoroughly enjoyable and delicious dinner there. Be sure and check it out.

::This spot has been on my list to check out for a while and I was really disappointed. I came for lunch to meet a friend. I ordered a soursop juice, a caesar salad, and the sunshine snapper dish (which looked and tasted like Tilapia not Snapper!) with rice & veggies. I’m not sure if it was the salad or the fish dish but something was sour and made me so nauseous. I literally had to leave and go straight home because I felt like throwing up. Ruined the rest of my day. The server was super sweet and she’s the only reason I gave 1 star. This is the worse experience I’ve had eating anywhere on the island and it cost me $50USD! So many other amazing places to eat! Save your money and go anywhere else!

::We dropped in one evening simply because we saw Carrot Cake on the menu and boy are we glad we did! Not only was the carrot cake really good, we were even more impressed with the truly amazing hospitality and kindness shown to us by Jor and Maritza. We noticed that an earlier online menu had a Rum Soaked Grouper though apparently the owner had replaced it at some point. Maritza and Jor asked us if we'd like to have them make it as the 'special' for the next day - wut?! We absolutely returned to try it, and WOW! Visiting with Jor and Maritza, eating at the Black Orchid and drinking the Key Lime and Coconut martinis was a highlight of our trip. Our only disappointment was that they are closed on Mon/Tues and we couldn't drop in for one last drink goodbye. We will never forget this random, off the cuff visit - hope everyone else will stop in and say high from the Carrot Cake and Rum Grouper couple from Kansas City! Cheers!

::I went to this place several years ago when it was all open air and no doors or windows. A lot has changed but not the quality of the food. I recommend the lasagna. Anytime some adds carrots as a sweetener to the meat sauce they have some Italian understanding of the quality of the food experience. Service was really helpful and the atmosphere was packed with people enjoying great food. Lots of family and large tables. Did not have a reservation but got a great seat at peak dinner.

::All around, excellent between atmosphere, service and food. I had made 7:00PM dinner reservations for 2 well in advance. The restaurant location is on the edge of town, a golf cart drive. Convenient for us staying at the Alaia Belize. We drove up, plenty of parking, nice exterior and classy upscale air conditioned inside. When we arrived, we were greeted and seated in a cozy booth. I would assume during high season a reservation would be needed, there were only a few tables occupied when we arrived. Cindy was our server, very nice, professional and attentive. It was Happy Hour so we took advantage of their Mojitos which were some of the best I've ever had. We ordered the Shrimp Cocktail, Rib Eye Steak and the Cajun Rub Snapper. All the dishes looked wonderful, steak cooked to request and all tasting great. Thank you for the wonderful experience. We will definitely be back next time in San Pedro, Belize.
