::We’re lucky to have travelled the globe and have visited a good number of former British colonial cities and towns. We accidentally stumbled into Bricks and Books while walking along Regent Street. We had just visited St.John’s ‘Cathedral’ where a lovely church volunteer had welcomed us in and explained the connection with our late Queen Elizabeth II. Christopher was similarly proud of his family heritage which shone through his warm affection for the building and family roots. We were so pleased to have met the wonderful staff and family members and I shall never forget our short time there. I must also mention extremely the helpful lady employee of Broadie’s whose warmth and genuine nature radiated through to us.

::This place was a delightful discovery as we were wandering the neighborhood on a hot day. A lovingly preserved old house (second oldest structure in Belize City) whose hand-tooled mahogany beams ensconce a cool refuge with great books (lots of regional authors and topics) delicious pastries and excellent coffee. I am a Seattle coffee snob who bonded with coffee when Starbucks was a barely profitable labor of love of of some jittery hippies. Excellent coffee. We really appreciated the tour and the learned some fascinating history from the owner whose family has been on this property since the 1850's!
