  We took a day trip to Caye Caulker from where we stayed on San Pedro. We walked to The Split. It was 2 days before Christmas so it was pretty crowded, but fun!

  The first place I dined had me for life. Once you exit the 45 minute boat ride, the suculant smells pull you into the city. The food was well presented, with rich appetizing colors, served up for and fresh. The wait staff were patient, friendly, and very accomodating. The food was some of the best ever. What can I say about the vendors - talented, lovely baskets, necklaces, and more with reasonable prices. Don't over argue the cost and be a skin flint. Being cheap is not attractive nor is it fair. The vendors deserve to make a good living. Fair prices won't make them rich, and it won't make you broke, but it will make you feel good. Don't over haggle. The boat captains are very good, safe, and give good tours. The locals help fill in information about the sights which are too many to mention. It's worth every penny. Walk, bike, or rent a cart. There's free fun or paid tours.

  Good times were had! The people were friendly and helpful. The swimming and snorkeling were just amazing and we loved the fact that there are no cars! There are some delicious places to enjoy the sun, sand and the shade.

  Visiting Caye Caulker was an amazing experience. The water is completely clear, this is definitely a great place to relax and have fun. The prices to get there from Belize city are cheap. It takes one hour to get there and you can enjoy the landscape seeing the other Cayes around. It's awesome how people speak English, Spanish and their native language at the same time, you will not have problems to communicate and relax There!

  I tried Belize express company to get to caye caulker from Belize city and the experience was way better with ocean ferry. The boat is newer, bigger and it has pillows on the seats, which makes a difference. And the price was cheaper 15 bz $ for round trip from caye caulker to San Pedro.
