::We were going to stay here for one night but it was so quiet we stayed a second A secure spot but at the moment they can only offer water and wifi so you will need to be self contained It’s very handy for the ruins . Enrique, the owner, is putting his plans into action that will include a toilet and shower block along with a raised deck for tents. Would happily go back again.

::Enrique was amazing. Literally went above and beyond and opened his house to us. He's working hard to make an ecosystem and put Altun-Ha on the map. It's a must stop if you're going to the ruins! Worth a detour if you're not.

::We spent 3 nights at Enrique's place with our hammocks. It is a nice and cosy place with amazing sunsets over the jungle. The small kitchen is shared with him and the bathroom as well. Enrique is a welcoming and kind man. He explained a lot of stuff about the area. We also had a drink of coconut water from the trees on his propriety. It's 5 minutes away from the archeological site. Enrique let you use his bicycle to explore the neighborehood. We had a pleasent time discovering the area. We also met the "Snake Man". If you have the chance to meet him, be sure to go talk to him to learn about all his crazy stories. If you are planning to camp with tent or hammock just know that it's a humide region and there is a lot of mosquitos. At 8pm, if you go in the spot behind the sawmill propriety you will have a incredible show of fireflies! Enrique's place is really worth the detour.

::If you are going to Altun Ha and you are into camping make sure you spend a night or two in Chateau De Pradines. This campsite is very peaceful and quiet only disturbed by sounds of parrots and other birds. Campsite owner Enrique is putting his heart into making this place the one and only. The effort behind making this place is truly inspiring. Furthermore, Enrique has huge plans for the future. If we are again in Altun Ha, we are definitely coming back. Thank you!

::Great to have the opportunity to stay near Altun-Ha. Attractive campsite in garden setting with showers and a cozy shared kitchen area. Enrique the owner is very kind and helpful. Would recommend to anyone looking to camp in the area (tent or hammock).
