  I'm being slightly generous with the 2 stars (for the mojitos.) This place lacked any of the local character you find down in the village. Apart from a large group from one of the resorts across the street, it was mostly empty. The conspicuous absence of any local people was very telling. Carne asada was nicely flavored but overcooked and dry. Pollo asado seemed like the meat had mostly been removed before grilling, and was an inedible pile of nicely flavored bones and sinew. The guacamole and salsa were nice, but the multiple ramekin presentation was sort of irritating. The tiny carafe with about a teaspoon of habanero sauce was a pretentious slap in the face from a place called "habanero." I waited for some time for more but ended up finishing my meal long before anyone asked me about it (as no one ever did.) The staff were busy from the large group but certainly not friendly or charming in any way, apart from one girl who seemed to finally take the reins but didn't have much support. My quote at the time was "I don't think these guys are from around here...." Plenty of places in such a laid back peninsula have slower service but it is usually friendly, fun and warm. This place was a headless chicken. The mojitos were actually very nice. I would have had more if they'd seen my empty glass in the 15 minutes it was empty, and didnt take another 15 to make me another. There are too many good restaurants down in the village for me to ever bother with this place again.

  Sad to see uppitty reviewers left their mark on this place. So happy it didn't stop us. Great attentive service, overall wonderful food. I could have got a plate of the homemade tortillas for dinner and been happy. The location was wonderful as well for a great sunset.

  Great food and atmosphere. Very friendly and polite staff. Nicely situated on the marina over looking the back waters. Definitely recommend if you like Mexican food. Delish!

  Food was good. Service not great and they charged me gratuity on a two top.
