::Stayed at Mariposa Jungle Lodge for three nights in October. First, great value this time of year. Next, the staff was great. Very friendly and accommodating. We ate breakfast and dinner daily. Very good food and something for everyone. They accommodate dietary restrictions very well. The facility is very peaceful and comfortable. A great place to relax after the exploring the area.

::I arranged a birthday trip for my girlfriend which included a four day dive vacation for two women at Xanadu on Ambergris Caye (including the birthday girl) and a five day jungle holiday (which added two more women to the trip later on in the week) at Mariposa Jungle Lodge. The impeccable service started during the planning process. Vanessa, part of Mariposa's Team, was more than helpful arranging all aspects of the trip from flights to Ambergris Caye, to private transportation between airports/hotels, right down to what foods/drink we preferred for our meals at Mariposa. She spared no details. The ride to Mariposa was an easy hour, made even better by our driver, Osasio, and his comfy, well air conditioned SUV. Mariposa is beautiful. We were welcomed not only by lush jungle, buzzing with the sounds of hummingbirds wizzing passed, parrots flying overhead, and howler monkeys in the distance, but by multiple staff members ready to make our stay unforgettable. Forget about touching our luggage- it would be taken care of. We were whisked off to the restaurant where Signature Mariposa Punches were waiting for us- made by the talented Robi. We lounged around, exploring the beautifully manicured grounds, sipping on more of Robi's handcrafted masterpieces, and floating in the pool until dinner where we were surprised to see custom menus with our names at the top welcoming us. Dinner was delicious and came with a custom menu based on our individual food preferences that Vanessa provided the resort. The Cabana we stayed in, The Macaw Cabana, was perfect for the four of us women. It consisted of two twin beds and a bun bed with a queen bed on the bottom and a two on the top. So we each had our own place to sleep. The bathroom was huge- definitely large enough for FOUR WOMEN. The back patio was small, but cute. It was a nice, quiet place to lay in the hammock and listen to the sounds of the jungle, while being screened in and protected from the mosquitos! There is a lot to see on the property if you don't book one of the many, many (VERY WELL WORTH IT) excursions available. The hike around Mariposa is not an easy one- plan accordingly. The bird watch tower is very cool and worth the short trek. The sauna is lovely and has a huge window. The pool is refreshing and surrounded by wildlife. I could spend hours there. Or maybe at the bar talking to the super friendly, funny Leo, sipping on one of his mojitos waiting for boa to slither by in the background at the restaurant? So many choices... Honestly, I could go on and on. I loved Mariposa and plan to return very soon.

::Literally sleep in the jungle with wall to wall windows abutting the trees. Walk the resort trails and see blue morphos and toucans. Staff are pros and bring local knowledge and stories. Rooms and meals were top notch. They even packed us a lunch in a cooler for a day trip.

::We stayed at the Mariposa Jungle Lodge this July with my family. We were so happy we chose to stay here rather than in town, it is closer to most spots of interest and the night is just calmer with it being in the middle of the forest. The staff, being all local, made a great impression on us, sharing their knowledge and stories of the people of Belize. It was super comfortable to have the full board with breakfast and dinners, besides delicious, it was practical to spend a couple of days not worrying about where to eat. The staff was also very friendly with my child and considerate of her pickiness with food. I would 100% stay here if I am ever around Belize.

::We stayed at Mariposa for three nights in the Iguana cabana. It was wonderful. They made everything so seamless. Before our arrival they sent us a list of excursions that they could coordinate with 3rd party tour guides and had us fill out a list of food preferences and allergies. On arrival (at my request) they coordinated a pick up from the airport to the lodge. Each night they would confirm what time we needed to be prepared and would coordinate what time we would like to eat before leaving on our adventure (or provide to go containers so we could eat enroute). Each night when we returned we had dinner outside with the other guests. The food was wonderful and the staff so helpful. They coordinated for us: A tour of ATM cave (awesome) A day trip with tour guides to Guatemala to see Tikal (also awesome) Transportation from the airport and to our next stop on our journey (Hopkins) The area where the lodge is is gorgeous. Our deck was right in jungle. The air conditioning worked great and the WiFi was solid. There are walking paths and they put out fruit and feeders to you can see many birds near the bar. There is a small (but pretty) pool with waterfall and a foosball table and other games for kids. Everyone was so nice and worked to make our experience so wonderful!
