  My wife and I rented a single bedroom at Mirasol. The hosts were extremely helpful, the villa was in great shape, and the pool was very warm! We also had access to the neighboring resort’s beach and swim up bar. I would highly recommend staying here. It’s an amazing location close to the beach, sidewalk shops, and has lots of very close food and bar options.

  Greet location just off the boardwalk and walking distance to everywhere. Accommodation was clean and has everything you need and the shared pool was a great way to beat the heat.

  Nice and well appointed apartments. Good access down to the beach with Toucan Jack's beach bar right there. Comfortable beds. Be aware of plumbing issues. Some things are looking a bit worn.

  Like other posts, this place is not on the beach as some pictures show, but is tucked In behind the Ocean Breeze resort. From the front decks you look at the back of that building. The room we had was spacious and reasonably clean. The bed was a king and comfy. Aircon worked. Location central and close to pretty much everything you might want. Beach is very nice here. Just what we were looking for. Problems started immediately, and the unit needs some work. Bathroom door wouldn't close due to door hinges falling off. Shower drain is dangerous as the grate in the drain has sharp edges. Washing machine settings not usable due to broken knob, and is rusting. Kitchen is very lacking even though it is being sold as a full kitchen. The list goes on. We wanted to open the front door to gain access to the deck. Door was locked and the key they provided didn't unlock it. We were able to use the deck but had to go out the back door and around to the front. We contacted the property manager but no reply. Same thing the next day. Third day they sent an email saying the key was on the hook in the bedroom. Sorry no key. Sad thing is they tell you in the room info that this door is a fire exit for your safety. Second day new tenants moved in upstairs. No they weren't noisy, but evertime they flushed a toilet, the toilet in our unit would gurgle and emit foul sewer gases into the room. The toilet would then fail to flush and almost overflow. When contacted, the property manager sent a plumber 2 days later who told us this place has problems and the septic tank was overloaded and needed to be cleaned out. When challenged, the PM team stated it would be a few days before they could get around to dealing with the problem. Sorry but that is not acceptable. They offered to give us 15% off the cost we paid for our troubles. We said no thanks. They then told us they had another unit in a condo further up the peninsula. We drove to the unit to find it had a terrible beach, no restaurants nearby, would require us to rent a car at extra costs to access placencia town and all. Sorry but this is not what we booked and paid for. When asked if they had another unit, they said NO. We requested a full refund for the days remaining on our stay and found another place nearby. Initially they paid a portion of the monies owed, and only upon persistent "contact" did they eventually pay out the remaining funds. Would we recommend this place? NO! There are many more better equipped and located places to stay for the same or less cost. Do your homework and check out the reviews.

  Definitely a hidden gem and a tremendous find for our stay in Placencia! We really enjoyed the stylish, well-appointed space with its proximity to the beach, nice dining options, and the private pool. Communication with the managers was great when we had a small problem with the washing machine, but other than that it was a tremendous value and I'll certainly stay here again next time I'm in Placencia.
