  It is small & functional. In Belize, they speak English, and officials offer help. Most often tourists go to nearby town by ferry or domestic airport connection. Easy to navigate. Flights connection is seamless. Airport area is bit expensive if you wanna purchase inside airport,

  It’s what you might expect for a small Caribbean airport. The waiting area is pure chaos on the weekend — lots of people jammed in and shouting about flights/boarding. During the week, it’s a lot better and not as crazy. There’s 3-4 restaurants. But, the ones that have to prepare the food take a very long time. Plan on 30-45 minutes if you order food and it isn’t pre-prepared food. Tip: Go online and complete entry/exit customs forms before coming.

  Multiple areas for improvement and the noise level is beyond human comprehension. Bathroom number remains low and unable to find sit down areas to eat.

  I wasn’t expecting much from this airport but was actually pleasantly surprised, and it’s a good place to pass time waiting for a flight. Landside is a bit chaotic and while airside is no less quiet there’s much more to do. There’s loads of restaurants and bars, plenty of seating and great views over the runway and gates. All the gates are next to each other and the crowds sometimes merge during busy departure times, so the constant announcements can get a bit crazy, but it is possible to find a quiet spot at the far end of the terminal. There’s no lounge option available but with the different bars and views I didn’t mind!

  The Belize Bank ATM ate my card, but Audrey up the reception desk was super helpful in trying to resolve the situation for me. One of the tour operators, Aaliyah from all in tours, managed to get a hold of a person to fix the ATM. They were so helpful and waited with me until somebody from the bank came 2 hours later. The airport experience itself was great. Quick, no issues. Also, taxi's are obviously a rip off. They tried charging me $30 USD for a trip into the city.
