  Terrible. This was the place I wanted to go the most, but was so disappointed. There's no actual port, so we had to load onto a janky ferry mid-sea from our cruise ship. From the moment we got to port, we were overwhelming with people begging to sell you something at ridiculous high prices. There's no beach at Belize City and the closest one is over an hour away via water taxi.

  Very disappointing unfortunately. We went to eat at the bourbon restaurant near terminal one, and the waitress was rude and almost acted like she didn’t want to serve my friend and I. She didn’t check on us and actually went in the corner on her phone being extremely rude to other tourists as well. The scenery was quite a bummer, the ocean was pretty but surrounding it was not what we expected. We did the cave tubing excursion AND the bus ride was 1.5 hours long to get to the jungle area, and the tubing tour only lasted 30 minutes… it was disappointing and a waste of money. What a shame that the bus ride was longer than the actual excursion… at least our tour guide made the bus ride enjoyable, she was very comical and friendly!

  Carnival swapped out beautiful Mahogany Bay island retreat with this dump. With all the reported crime against Americans we stayed on the ship. Felt cheated. Other cruisers gave same negative opinion on the return to the ship. The usual "hey hey hey come to my shop" known for this region. Would cancel entire cruise if pushed to go here again.

  It was very nice to visit Belize - they are welcoming when you get off of your cruising boat. It was a good experience when visiting here. I had reservations at first, but coming out of it, I'm very satisfied, and can't wait to come back to Belize again. Thank you for the experience.

  Short 8 hour visit but a life time of memories to remember about my cruise ship tour stop. My wife and I both booked a snorkeling tour off one of the small island. Belize is the second biggest reef after Australia Great Barrier Reef.
