::Amazing place away from the fast paced San Pedro. Great staff, restaurant, bar, pool, and dock w water activities booked with Capt Kris right on the dock. Scuba, fishing, snorkeling...highly recommend. We caught fish, Kris prepped the fish and the kitchen on sight cooked it fresh...AMAZING!!! (A must) Thank you Potofino for an unforgettable vacation!

::We stayed at the hotel in May of last year and it was fabulous. However, I am here to review the restaurant. We ate the Spanish octopus multiple times while staying and over a year later we are in Spain and Portugal and are still comparing it to that meal! Truly the BEST octopus we have ever had. We honestly consider going back just to eat it. Do not miss!!! The hotel was also amazing… hopefully our late night wine filled rant helps

::Portofino report is amazing. Boutique 5 star. The restaurant has amazing ambiance inside, on deck, at pool or on beach. Every kind of food and most extensive salad menu I have seen on island. Jason makes the best drinks! Kevin offers VIP service. We ate lunch, dinner, took food home to go and are returning tonite for dinner. They offer 6:30pm pick up at your hotel in north if you dine for dinner including drop off during low season.

::Did not stay here but had dinner here. Weren't sure about it with the walk back and how it was weird with us not staying there but this is a hidden gem of North Ambergris. Drinks were strong, the salads were tasty and light, the shrimp was incredible and the Alfredo sauce was fantastic. We normally don't do dessert but the banana dessert my wife had was out of this world and the chocolate cake was rich as can be. The server was attentive and knowledgeable of the area. The price is what really blew us away as it was very fair and was a tremendous value for what we got.
