::We enjoyed our stay at Rolson Hotel. I think what you get is reasonable for the price. All staff were very friendly and helpful. One waitress in particular answered tons of questions for us. She was very helpful and kind. The pool is nice. Restaurant is delicious! I had the same dinner two nights in a row because I enjoyed it so much. Shower head in our room was a little finicky but there was a note on the wall about that. 😊 overall would stay here again

::Small familiar hotel with a great restaurant that serves local specialties. We had a room with two double beds that also just fit a baby cot. A nice quite swimming pool was perfect for the kids. I would say this hotel suits couples better than families however the staff was very friendly and accommodating towards us.

::Rolsons Hotel was one of the most disappointing hotels we have stayed at in a long time. The problems started with the room. The air conditioner was one of those extremely old-fashioned models that makes a lot of noise. In fact, it was so loud we had to turn it off when trying to sleep but then the room was extremely hot. There was a ceiling fan but it barely moved for some reason. The room safe also didn’t work and neither did the taps on the bathroom sink. We complained and then a dribble of water came out after the “maintenance” was complete. It took several minutes to have enough water for a shave. Then there was the problems with the internet, which cut in and out all day and night. In terms of service, it’s only good when the boss is around. At other times, it borders on the rude and insolent. Finally, in terms of location, this place is right on the edge of town and it’s a long hot walk uphill from the centre of San Ignacio. My advice to the hotel is to fix the sinks and the safe and to replace the late Soviet Union-style air conditioners before posting dozens and dozens of ridiculous signs like “Don’t urinate in the pool” around your property.

::I think this hotel is a good value. The staff are very chill and friendly. This was important. The kids really liked the pool and I liked the poolside service. You press a button and a server will come and bring you food and drinks. They will also bring you towels for the pool. The restaurant was good. Nights we did didn’t feel like going out. We would eat in the restaurant and it was great. The breakfasts were also good. If you’re not familiar with electric showers, it may take a minute to get used to them. This is very common in this area of the world. If you’re super serious about coffee, you may want to find some alternative. If you’re from North America or Europe keep in mind that this hotel is in Central America and then everything will be fine .
