::Tobacco Caye is my favorite of all places I've been in Belize (and I've been to a lot of them). The staff are kind and go out of their way to make your stay incredible. Meals are included and feature a blend of local cuisine and familiar favorites. Rooms are tight and have no AC, but we were fine leaving the windows open. The real highlight of staying here is that you can snorkel in the reef right off of the island, no boat needed. We saw stingray, grouper, and angelfish, just to name the highlights. We went during the off season and it felt like exploring our own private island.

::We had an excellent stay at Windward lodge! We came here in low season, so the weather wasn’t great and it wasn’t always possible to do water activity, nonetheless, it’s a great place to relax and observe nature. We were very happy, I was especially happy to be offered good vegetarian options

::Staying at Windward Lodge on Tobacco Caye was pure magic! Belize owned and run by locals. The staff are great !!! helpful, kind, and so friendly. From communication for booking with them to dropping me off. The place is amazing with everything you need for fun: kayaks, paddleboards, and snorkeling gear. The food is outstanding, I was afraid about having proper meals because I’m vegan and they surprised me with variety of meals, fresh and delicious!! The location is perfect for swimming, spotting marine life, and catching breathtaking sunrises and sunsets. Plus 3 lovely dogs so I couldn’t be happier! Also they use solar panels which makes the place even better! Go with them you will not be disappointed. Thank you Jen, Dezire, Flore and Josh to make my stay enjoyable! 10/5 stars for the incredible stay. Noemie from Canada.

::My sister and I stayed for 2 nights in september. Everything is amazing, the location and the views couldn't be better. Right in front of the reef barrier, the water is so clear you can see the marine life, incredible sunrises and sunsets. The rooms are nice and clean, with everything you need, the food is delicious. And finally the staff, everyone is nice and friendly, helpful at all times. Thank you for everything!

::I spent a couple nights here on a trip with my university cohort master's program in July 2024. I fell completely in love with all of the staff and the island itself. I was so depressed when I had to leave. I decided to come back a week later when my classes ended to spend two more nights on my own during a week of solo travel I did before going back to the states. It was the perfect way to end my time in Belize. The care and kindness received here by all the staff is above and beyond. The food is amazing and was always something to look forward to when the bell rang. The accommodations were a perfect level of comfort for being this remote. I don't like tourist areas and this was not that at all, it was like coming home. I plan on coming back and bringing my teenagers with. Of special note is the stargazing, the amazing snorkeling, hammock life, the friendly dogs that made me feel at home!, and the educational element where the marine research center is residing here as well!
