A great place to stay your first or last night in Belize. Close to the airport, great food, a pool to cool off in, and amazing staff!

A great way to start your trip in Belize. We have seen more wildlife here than in the rest of the country. Coatis and agoutis literally walking in front of your cabin door. We also recommend taking the night walk in the zoo, Carlos was very knowledgeable. The staff is very friendly and the food is delicious. Thank you TEC!

Stay here and visit the zoo! The hospitality was amazing! TEC picked us up at the airport and drove us to the water taxi when we left. The staff made this experience made this feel like a 5 star resort. They took care of everything for us. The rooms make you feel like you’re glamping in the jungle. We had a pond house. No A/C, which I thought would be a bigger issue but we had plenty of fans and even got cold at night and needed to use blankets. The house had a kitchen and private bathroom with plenty of beds but we spent our time on the screened in porch overlooking the water. Breakfast and dinner are included. The service was amazing and the food was delicious. Grilled pork chops with veggies, dessert, fresh lime juice. Breakfast was Johnny cakes with ham, cheese, and the most delicious fresh fruit. My kids can be picky and afraid of new foods but they ate everything on their plates. We did the night tour of the zoo which is 100% worth it! The temps are cooler so no one complains and most of the animals are nocturnal so they are all awake. We got to feed animals and see them up close. It was awesome to hear the stories of how the zoo started and see all the behind the scenes stuff. I loved our time there. I loved that any money we spent went to helping animals. A definite must stay, even for one night.

Wonderful place to start your trip in Belize. We spent our first two nights here after the experience was recommended to us from a friend who visited the previous year. Two nights was perfect for us, we stayed mid-week and it was very peaceful in the Casita: screened in generous porch with a hammock that makes you feel like you're in a jungle tree house. Great grounds to walk around an explore the trails. The leafcutter ants are night are very impressive! Definitely do the zoo night tour and go back during the day. Dinner and breakfast included and was delicious. Beer and soda available for purchase too. Go birding with Juan Carlos, he generously shares his passion with the guests. Everyone was lovely and would highly recommend as part of your Belize vacation, plus you are supporting a good organization, its employees, and animals as well.

Loved our stay here for two nights. Loved the food and accommodations. Did the night visit at the zoo, Carlos was knowledgeable and informative. After a great breakfast , we walked back to the zoo the next morning along the great savanna trails. Saw lots of birds. We enjoyed the Belize zoo, very beautiful with lots of shaded benches to watch the animals. We were glad we went on the night zoo visit because we saw the nocturnal animals that were not visible during the day at the zoo. TEC has great trails with viewing platforms. So hike the different environments on the property. They also have a pool, that cooled us down after hiking. Every morning we watched birds with Carlos of TEC on the deck outside the dining room. We drank coffee and Carlos of TEC shared binoculars and shared his knowledge of birds. Carlos also was a jack of all trades, helped in serving meals, making accommodations, driving us around, checking on our other reservations. But he is a great birder too!!!! Thank you! The people who work in the kitchen are great at their jobs and the food was amazing. Also the security guards are very knowledgeable about the wildlife too and very helpful. I really liked all the people I met at TEC. Tropical Education Center is a worthy and wonderful place to stay on your Belize travels and you see a lot of animals on the property if you are observant and quiet. We will be stopping by again!
