  This place was our lovely, gentle, easy entry to Belize. Luis was SO responsive and communicated promptly EVERY time I contacted him, both way ahead of time and while we were on island, even sending a taxi last minute twice! Rooms are comfortable with AC that works well, basic supplies, even a small fridge. Breakfast served on the upstairs deck which overlooks the ocean on each side. Just a lovely little place. And the dogs were so friendly, my husband snuggled them, we gave belly rubs every day, they're complete honeys!

  Bad experience. Checked in during the day. Came back at 10:00 p.m. in the evening to four dogs at the gate that would not allow us to open the gate to get to our room. We have 4 dogs ourselves at home but these dogs were guarding the property. Attempted to contact the hotel numerous times via phone and email to move the dogs away from the gate so we could get in. No one answered. Ended up having to go down the road and find another place to stay that night and lucked out at a guest house. Called the hotel again the next morning. Went back to see the manager, dogs were gone, and asked why no one answered and why were we were not able to get into our room because of the dogs. His response was the dogs were friendly and we should have just gone in. Serious lack of care and responsibility from the manager. We were very upset. He said he would give us a full refund which we requested. We packed and left the hotel immediately and found another place for the 2nd night. Awful first night experience.

  Short, but wonderful stay at Yocamatsu. Tucked away from the busyness of tourism, yet conveniently close to everything (including a short, easy walk from the ferry w/ bags). Stayed 2 nights but wished for more if only for the delicious breakfast alone. Hosts were quick to respond to our inquiries and made sure our stay was comfortable. Loved the hammock on the porch. The dogs were friendly to us, yet watchful of passersby. Wonderful views from the rooftop, not to mention great spot for our morning breakfast. Highly recommend for a quaint, quiet spot that doesn't make you feel like a tourist.

  What a wonderful stay we had a Yocamatsu! Luis and Bryan were so hospitable and welcoming. We got invited to a gathering on the high-rise gazebo where we hung out and chatted with other guests. The room was clean and comfortable. The location is close to and walkable to everything on Caye Caulker. I would highly recommend staying at Yocamatsu.

  This place is amazing! The island itself is truly beautiful and from Yocamatsu you have the most amazing view over it. Go to the rooftop and enjoy the best 360° ocean view there is. The rooms itself are beautiful as well, with comfortable beds, AC, and great bathrooms. The owner is super nice and takes care of everything - from building the rooms to making the best breakfast of your life. I thought scrambled eggs couldn't get me excited anymore, but this breakfast was incredibly delicious. I highly recommend this place and wish everyone who goes there a wonderful trip :)
