    DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!! BE AWARE! The boss himself will convince you that it’s your car’s fault for being old and will send you away. Be prepared to receive some very low effort excuse. Went in for a clutch replacement. Came back with wire disconnected in the engine bay. My Cruise Control stopped working immediately after! I asked him to look at it, was convinced it was my fault. Convinced that my car is OLD and that I should understand that “ YOU KNOW HOW MUCH CARS IN BELIZE NO HAVE CRUISE CONTROL?”. Convinced that my car has no hope, his last recommendation is to replace the part and hope it’s that. BUT YEAH. NOT HIS FAULT. Asked to please investigate it. Nope. I also need to replace the seals in my engine and do a 100K tune up. He refused to quote me, refused to look at the BIG leak coming from the VERY OBVIOUS engine head, just to tell me “it only need fi change THAT seal that might be leaking, wash it”. BUT SIR, if that’s leaking I’d like to replace all the seals for my car before it starts to leak elsewhere. So tell me why my friend’s 1995 Toyota has cruise control and my poor 2005 should be lucky it even drives.

    I have known Young's Automotive for over 20 years. I can say his shop is one of the best in Belize. I have a Ford escape he is working on right now. He sends his mechanics to auto schools in the US.

    I do not recommend Young's Automotive located on Coney Drive in Belize City. I brought a vehicle in with a long list of issues and asked to speak with Mr. Young who was not there. I left the vehicle with explicit instructions for Mr. Young not to touch the car without talking to me because it was clear his secretary did not understand the complexity of the issues and I was not even sure how much he would charge for the diagnostics and I explained that I need a written quote for any and all services including diagnostics whether on the computer or not. He never called. I was sent a written quote the next day and immediately decided I would not be using him for services based on the quote for repairs which did not mention diagnostics at all. I went in to pick up the car and was told that NO, indeed he had not hooked the car up to the computer but it was starting fine now because he had got it started just fine and the problem was with my fuel pump not the starting (not true and a poor diagnosis). I was frustrated about that because the car has some sort of electrical problem and because he was supposed to provide me with a written estimate for all services including cost for diagnostics whether on the computer or off. He did not. Since they said the starting problem was fixed even though I had not approved that I asked how much and was told $75 which I paid reluctantly. The car did start, we drove it one mile and turned it off and it did not start again (the same problem I brought it in with). I called Mr. Young who did not answer so I towed the car myself to another mechanic. My issue is this: 1. I asked Mr. Young to call me BEFORE he even touched the vehicle at all so I could discuss options and issues and cost of diagnosing whether it was off the computer or on the computer. 2. He apparently did something to the vehicle to get it started but did not hook it up to a computer at all but charged me $75 anyway and the secretary told me they got it started and the quote I received was for replacing the fuel pump and did not include diagnostic charge or anything about the starting problem. 3. If he was going to charge me for a non-computer diagnosis I had a right to have a written estimate in advance INCLUDING the cost of the diagnostics whether on the computer or off. He did not provide that. When I went in to explain it this morning around 9:20 am no one was there other than a lady who said she did not work there. She said he was at breakfast and that the secretary was not there even though it was normal operating hours. The secretary then called me and took and attitude. I cut her short and told her that when I tell Mr. Young NOT to touch my vehicle until I speak with him and have a written estimate for the diagnostics I mean it. I then heard from multiple people that Youngs Automotive is not a reputable business and in fact they don't even have a facebook page where you can leave a review but I will leave a review on their google listing. In short, take your vehicle somewhere else for proper professional service. So basically because of $75 they will now lose lots of future business. Sad that the secretary took an attitude. Had they simply offered to pay me back the money or not taken a rude attitude I might not have written this but I am kind of tired of incompetent secretaries in this country causing me problems.

    I called in to check if they can do a car estimation (paid of course), and was told that they ONLY do this for their ongoing customers. I was baffled as I thought I could have been a potential customer with them. Not good customer retention.

    A bit pricey BUT excellent service! Was at ease knowing my vehicle was taken care of at night under their huge wear house and security systems. They are equipped with state-of-the-art technology and equipments.
