::I absolutely enjoyed my stay at Sapphire Beach Resort—it was peaceful, serene, and exactly the island escape I needed. Nestled on a private stretch of Caribbean beachfront and offering three lovely pools, it’s the perfect spot to truly unwind Silvino at security greeted everyone with warmth and made checking in feel like arriving home. Eiden, the concierge, was a magician—setting up every activity flawlessly and always ready with great tips. Eric, who cares for the resort’s lush gardens, keeps the landscaping immaculate—walking through feels like wandering in a tropical paradise. And Josh, our coconut server—nothing beats sipping fresh coconut by the pool while the ocean breeze rolls in. The ambiance is wonderfully tranquil and serene—a place you can truly escape the world. The staff are all incredibly friendly, from everyday hellos to genuine smiles at every turn. The resort’s kitchen and restaurant—the Gem Restaurant and Tiki Bar on the beach—serve fresh, made-to-order meals that hit the spot after a long day in the sun. The on-site amenities even include in-room kitchens, ideal for those special snack cravings Add in the gorgeous beachfront, three pools, private dock, and complimentary kayaks & snorkeling gear, and you’ve got a perfect recipe for relaxation and fun Highlights at a Glance • Staff & Service: Silvino (security), Eiden (concierge), Eric (landscaping), Josh (coconuts)—all stars of the resort. • Tranquility & Ambiance: A serene, peaceful escape with stunning views and laid-back island vibes. • Pools & Beach: Three outdoor pools, private beach, dock, and easy access to snorkeling/kayaking. • Dining: Freshly-made meals, Tiki Bar drinks, and fully-equipped kitchenettes—personalized food just how you like it. ::We have visited Sapphire Beach two times and love it. The office staff is excellent, as are the grounds, restaurant, and pool bar staff. They take your luggage up the stairs for you and bring 5 gallon jugs of drinking water up to your room every time you run out, so you never have to worry about fresh, clean drinking water--a big plus! (BYOWB- bring your own water bottle from home to avoid the single-use ones that are littering up their country.) We rented a golf cart from town (they can deliver to the resort or be picked up in town) and booked our own snorkel trip right from the dock in front (the office can do these things for you if you prefer), and they have 24-hour security on the grounds and watching your golf carts. Some people may not want to be 9 miles north of the busy town, but we felt much more relaxed up north, and there are plenty of local resorts, restaurants, bars, etc. to keep you exploring without even going into busy San Pedro (several places to the north and south to visit, enjoy good views, food, & swimming). There are two small grocery markets about a mile down the road too (but do your initial big shopping trip in San Pedro when you arrive). Sapphire has a shuttle to and from airport which isn't cheap for the 9 mile trip and cost of fuel ($50 for all passengers not including a small tip), but it's worth it to fit all your groceries, luggage, and people and it's much faster than the golf cart (though the adventure of the golf cart ride is super fun on a regular, non-travel day). There is a safe in the room for passports, etc. We felt very safe at this resort. The ocean here can have more sea kelp on different years, but they rake and keep the white sands as clean as they can. There's plenty of space on the sand to sit near the water listening to the rustling coco palms (don't sit directly under them- more deaths by coconut than sharks in the world). Again, snorkel trips with White Sands Outfit or El Norte's outfit can pick up at Sapphire's dock. We loved an afternoon cocktail at the pool bar or on the beach. (Bring No Natz bug spray for no-seeums, just like any tropical vacation!) Restaurant is open breakfast, lunch, and dinner & is delicious, and they do a pool-side BBQ once/week with music. An enjoyable and well-run resort.

::Spent a full week at Sapphire Beach hotel. Deliberately chose it because it is out of the way quite far north on the east side of Ambergris Caye. We chose our timing to be at the end of tourist season. We were two of nine guests throughout our stay. The service was extraordinary. The rooms are not luxurious but very clean and in good order/condition with a kitchen and living room. Air conditioning units that work extremely well in both the main quarters and the bedroom. The bed is very comfortable, as are the pillows. Great shower! The pools and the grounds are cleaned/raked daily. They arranged everything for us from our golf cart rental delivered to the hotel, to massages at our rooms, prompt laundry service and anything else we requested was done immediately. They made dinner reservations for us at area restaurants and arranged for complementary pick us up so we didn't have to drive our carts at night. Breakfast at there in-house restaurant was delicious with very generous portions. Absolutely would return & definitely stay there. If you don't want to be in the hustle and bustle of San Pedro, but are looking for a quiet retreat and comfort right on the sea, we highly recommend Sapphire Beach Resort!

::This resort was super far from the mainland but well worth it. The staff here are nothing short of amazing! They go above and beyond to assist you with all of your needs. They helped with booking excursions, they assisted me with transportation and luggage. The views of the ocean are amazing. They have security around the clock. There are no complaints about this resort. The roads are a bit rocky but that has nothing to do with this resort. 10/10 would stay here again.
