::Came from Florida to see Belize, they were always helpful and quick during the entire experience. If you're going to rent a car i highly recommend them. No Frills no Fuss. Also if you're going anywhere outside of the city 4WD is a MUST. Without it my trip would have ended on the first day.

::I took my son on a road trip around Belize to do a little bit of everything it offers - caving, snorkeling, jungle hikes, etc. The rental car aspect of the trip was an important one. I found Car One online after researching several other car rental agencies in Belize City. At the time of my rental Car One had 4.9 stars on Google reviews. My experience with them reflects that high rating. 1) Their rates were competitive compared to other agencies, 2) they took my reservation without charging my credit card (unlike other Belize agencies that try to lock you in), 3) they picked us up from the airport, 4) upon arrival to the agency they were friendly and helpful, 5) they provided a Jeep Patriot that was able to handle the rocky roads that you'll frequently encounter (Note: Belize beats up cars; focus on safety when receiving your car, rather than aesthetics), 6) they were friendly and efficient when we turned in the car, and 7) they drove us back to the airport. Bottom Line: When I made my reservation with Car One that part of my trip was handled. If I had to do it again I would reserve with them again and forget about it until arrival. PS - Google Maps works pretty well in Belize so look into coverage through your carrier (TMobile coverage was good). For areas where coverage was weak our National Geographic map of Belize was solid. PS2 - The fresh juice in Belize is amazing. In Cayo you'll see people selling coconut, orange, watermelon, and other juices by the roadside. If you're into that kind of thing, put ice in the cooler that Car One provides you'll be ready to take advantage of a road trip treat.

::Fantastic experience for us! Don't be scared that it's not a major US brand name. These people were awesome! Don't hold a huge deposit, very nice car, pick you up at the airport and drop you off. The most hassle free rental car experience I have ever had anywhere! Highly recommend it!

::Hands down, this is the best car rental company in all of Belize. I was really starting to worry when no other company would allow me to rent without a credit card for deposit, but within minutes of emailing Car One, they called and assured me I not only could rent without a credit card, but that the deposit would be 1/3 of the cost as other local companies. After being picked up at the airport and even given a few items I had lost or left behind, they brought me to the car at their office. After them giving me nearly an hour of info and answering all my questions about the country, they even upgraded my vehicle for free to a Jeep so I could better get around the country. They helped me find hotels and book as well as kept my sister's information as they knew I was nervous travelling alone in a foreign country. They provide a cell phone and cooler, and I lost the cell phone during my trip. After calling the phone for me, they arranged a drop off with the person who had it, and did not charge me a dime for the inconvenience. Both on the ride to and from the airport, I was fully escorted through everything and I promise you that there is no better company to work with. The vehicle was reliable and clean, and I felt so safe and welcome. I am now planning to move to Belize, partially because of the amazing and welcoming experience I had with Car Rental. For your own sake, do not rent with anyone else. Many companies in the area seem to have terrible reviews and charge deposits of over $750, and you can find this info on their own websites.
