::Went to San Pedro for the weekend. Just happens to be Lobster Fest. I was charged $76 Belize for a round trip. Ridiculous

::When I landed on Caye Caukler that I realize the round trip from Belize city should be 28 belize dollar, not US dollar. I bought ticket from the company cashier, never thought they would earn money this way. So angry. Just a reminder to furture travellers, the price should be Belize dollar.

::Belize City to Caye Caulker (round trip) costs US $28/person. That trip lasts ~45 minutes. However, the boat has no bathroom, so make sure to go before leaving because the ride can get very bumpy, and a full bladder on a bumpy ride is not ideal. The boats aren't that great, but they bring you were you need to go. Beware that there are no reservations and you could miss your boat, so don't take the last one available (it'll be packed). Our first boat also left 15 minutes early so make sure to arrive at least 25 minutes early to be sure to have a seat.

::Paying US $25 from Belize City to Caye Caulker for a round trip is not really that expensive. The trip will last almost 2 hours, the boat might be overload since there is a lot of people using the service. Staff members are not that nice, they might be just tired of doing the same everyday. Yet, the boat looks nice and you will have great sights while getting to one of the Cayes.

::As you can see from most reviews it’s really sad to see that almost everyday the busses and service are simply poor. It’s simply the way it runs and also because of the distances these busses have to travel everyday. If it’s not the boarder being packed it’s the bus breaking down or simply it’s just not leaving until more people book the buses. Simple as this...expect a good 2 hour delay or more no matter what and if it does leave on time and isn’t overbooked just be happy and lucky.
