::I have taken students to Belize and the Blue Marlin for 12 years. Every year has been outstanding. The food, staff, facilities, and general atmosphere is amazing. Hosting large student groups is challenging for any lodge/resort, but Blue Marlin has gone above and beyond making our trip the best it can be. This includes everyone from the kitchen staff who welcome us in to learn about local recipes, the boat crews and snorkel guides who prioritize safety, and the housekeeping staff who somehow manage to keep up with a large group of students. My annual field course would not be possible without the Blue Marlin. I highly recommend the resort for anyone (family or solo), not just educators, who want great service, beautiful views, and excellent facilities right on the edge of the Belize barrier reef!

::Ay ay ay! What a TREAT! We read about this place in a chart book and sailed in few days ago. We walked in at 10am and spent the day until 9pm with this FAMILY! 😍 lunch, dinner, drinks, pool table (kinda funny but the kids are obsessed), and sunset snorkeling was amazing. Truly a day to remember! We were just told we weren’t welcome by another resort at Glover’s Pass and our first response was - “well, we know we are welcome at Blue Marlin!” Freckles the dog and well… everyone made our day. The cheesecake was the best I’ve ever had and I eat cheesecake like a crazy person. Thank you, thank you for everything. You guys and gals are amazing!

::We stayed At Blue Marlin for 4 nights in August and we loved it. We mostly had the place to ourselves and loved the routine we fell into of enjoying the delicious food (loved the afternoon snacks!), snorkelling, kayaking/paddle boarding to the nearby beach, watching the nurse sharks and rays off the jetty and then swinging in a hammock before sipping a cocktail before dinner. Stacy was our snorkel guide and took us out twice a day to show us the beauty of the reef and its marine life, whilst being a total inspiration to my 11 year old daughter who now wants to follow in her footsteps! But all the staff were great, its one big family and they can't do enough for you to make your stay relaxing and perfect. They make you feel part of it, rather than just a visitor. Once you fall into the rhythm of the island, you won't want to leave. Its a big world and so many places to visit, but can't wait to come back here someday.

::We stopped by the Blue Marlin for some ice while our catamaran was parked nearby. I had a chance to meet the resort owner while I was there and we discussed how they often hosted groups of students on the island. This would be an epic place to study marine life with beautiful reefs all around. I also think it would be a really great place to host a large private event like a wedding or celebration. I honestly couldn't imagine a better venue! It was a truly beautiful island that I wish I could have stayed on longer.

::We had a fantastic stay at Blue Marlin on a snorkeling trip. Every day, twice a day, we would go out to a different part of the reef and snorkel with Mark. Mark was such an excellent dive master and guide. I would not hesitate to go dive with him if I knew how to dive. We saw so many types of fish, a manatee, sharks, rays, squid, and such vibrant diverse coral. It was amazing. You can also go to the end of the island and since it is right on the reef there is nice reef a short swim away. The food was excellent and drinks phenomenal. Sergio did an excellent job, his mosquito bite drink is super unique and delicious. This is the spot to stay for an island adventure off the coast of Belize. The staff was all very friendly and helpful, the room was super romantic, and the views incredible. A real island paradise that has a local feel, owned and operated by a Belizean family rather than a big corporate operation. A great mix of relaxation and exploration, I would definitely stay here again
