We were here with a group trip. We arrived a couple of days early before the rest of the group. They picked us up from the airport, a 90-minute trip. I thought it was a great touch! More on that later. The driver was nice enough, but be warned, speed limits, no passing on double yellow lines...are suggested apparently. It was a little nerve wracking, but we made it. We arrived Oct. 29th and it was incredibly hot and humid. The office staff was very friendly to start. Very accommodating walking us to our room and helping with luggage. We were asked about renting a golf cart for our stay, and was just shocked at the expense. $30 an hour or $70 a day! More on that later. You do need some transportation, and we did end up renting a cart for 3 days and one hour. We were given two complimentary Welcome drinks. Coupons and headed to the pool after 16 hours of total travel time to get there and being awake for over 24 hours. We turned in pretty early. When we turned in for the night, our AC units didn't work. We slept with the windows opens and were hit with a massive lightning and thunder storm. It was raining so hard, we got soaked in our bed. Maintenance attempted to fix the AC units the next day. There was one in the living room and one over half the bed. It seemed like the AC were fixed, and we were once again looking to some sound sleep that we haven't had going on two days. That 2nd night, I couldn't get warm enough. I was so tired, it took a minute, but I realized my side of the bed was soaking wet. Not a little bit, but a lot. The single sheet and very light blanket was also soaked. I had to move out to the couch. They don't supply you with extra blankets. For the 3rd day in a row, I essentially hadn't slept. The next morning they changed the sheets. Later that afternoon, I noticed the AC unit above the bed was literally raining on my side of the bed when it was on. They had to repair the AC again and not only change the sheets, but the mattress as well. After this, the ACs worked, but wouldn't shut off. I ended up using the circuit breaker in the electrical panel to turn the units off and on. Embers restaurant looks good. It is not inexpensive, and the vibe would be a nice meal. I would give the ambiance 5-Stars. The staff is pretty great, but the only thing they are OK at cooking is pizza and fish. Don't bother trying to eat beef here. Chicken is average. Breakfast is ok, but serving sizes are small and 'extras,' like bacon, toast, and hash browns are ala-cart. If you get a "complimentary breakfast," as we did, that means a two egg omelet, or 3 pretty small, but tasty pancakes. The ala-cart menu items are also very small proportions. In short, you complimentary breakfast will cost you more here than in the states with significantly smaller proportions. The bar staff if friendly. However, the pours are resort friendly. You'll get one ounce of alcohol. Cocktails in the states are normally at least two ounces. Again, the prices are just like any where in California. We decided to rent a golf cart for an hour to go into town the village and get our own booze and groceries. Our apartment had a fully stocked kitchen. Day 4, after our group had arrived, and I was finally able to get some good sleep, we rented a cart for 3 days to eat at restaurants in town that are much better and cheaper. The day before check-out, we started getting terrible vibes from staff, like they were worried we were going to skip out on closing tab. We charged a few cocktails when we were out with our group to our room and our "complimentary breakfasts." Nothing really outrageous. When we closed out, they charged us $200 USD for the ride to get there. We had no idea that was coming. The day before we checked out, we found out we could have rented the golf cart for $250 for the week! The resort rents them from the same place that is a 5 minute walk away, and then charge you double. Our closing bill was $750 USD. High on ambiance, low on value.

Seiri means heaven in Garifuna, and this place really is heavenly. If it wasn't for the sand flies and a few other minor inconveniencs like the hot tub not working, I would give this place 5 stars. I would love to come back. It seems like a fun place to go with large families or friend groups. The place is secure, and the grounds are well kept. You have access to bicycles, kayaks and paddleboards. A restaurant is within walking distance, and Hopkins is a lovely town to visit. Produce is cheaper than in or near Belize City, so it was a pleasure to utilise the kitchen to cook. We also travelled with some food items and snacks. We loved having a dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. It made handling beach towels and bathing suits easy, and we didn't have to spend a lot of time washing dishes. I love this place!!

My family and I stayed at Seiri Del Mar, and we just left this place!! we’re visiting Hopkins. We usually stay at another place nearby, but they were booked up so we gave this resort a try. It exceeded our expectations and now this will likely be our new spot!!! The staff was welcoming, professional, and helpful with any questions we had. I believe the lady who checked us in was Eseri . She walked us to our room, welcome us to Hopkins, and ensured we had all the information to make our stay pleasant. We were treated to a complementary cocktail at the beautiful restaurant on site. Our room had everything we needed, including a coffee maker and washer and dryer. Our view from the room and living area was beyond amazing. Everything about our trip here felt beautiful and peaceful. My family loved the pool and especially that it also had a Jacuzzi! The beach grounds were kept very clean, with maintenance raking the sand every morning. We were able to go paddle boarding, and kayaking at the beach in front of the resort, as all of these amenities were available to us. We felt very safe, with 24/7 security at the gate. I really can’t say enough great things about this place. My only wishes that we had more time to stay longer. You have to check it out for yourself!!

Quiet and Quaint, tucked away in the corner of Hopkins. It is gated and guarded resort. The security is an extra precaution but not needed. This is a place you go to relax. There is a lot to do here or in Hopkins actually, but you have access to many surrounding areas. They have reasonable golf cart rentals and free bikes for riding. There is a restaurant (Embers) on site. But still, you will have to keep yourself entertained. Again it a good place to go and relax.

This is a beautiful resort that felt brand new as we walked in. The upkeep is phenomenal and the staff is friendly and very welcoming. These units are also available to purchase for $499k at the time I am writing this review. Anyone feel like being an angel investor?
