::We stayed at Chabil Mar for six nights in July, and it was an unforgettable experience. It was myself, my husband, our son, and my mother—and we all had a wonderful time. The resort felt like our own private getaway. With only 21 villas on the property, it never felt crowded. We never had to worry about finding a chair by the pool, and often had the pool entirely to ourselves—there are two on-site, both peaceful and beautifully maintained. One of our favorite features was the dock, which was especially meaningful for my husband, who enjoys fishing. We even had dinner out on the dock one evening, and it was absolutely lovely. One of the standout conveniences was the ability to order food from anywhere on the property—whether you’re at your villa, the beach, or the dock, the staff will deliver directly to you. The service was warm, welcoming, and genuinely top-notch. I also highly recommend renting a golf cart while you're there—it made getting around easy and fun. We’re already looking forward to going back. Chabil Mar is a true gem, and I can’t recommend it highly enough!

::My husband and I recently stayed at Chabil Mar. This is a great resort with top-notch staff and services. The villa we stayed in was very clean, with modern amenities. Despite the heat, the air conditioning kept the room very comfortable. We didn't have one negative experience during our stay. The staff are always available for whatever you need, whether it's a drink by the pool, preparing you a meal for an early morning tour, driving you to the village for a meal in the evening, you name it, they provide it! The food at the resort was always delicious and fresh. The concierge Nikita, checked on all of our tours ahead of time (which we didn't book with Chabil Mar but could have!), confirming details for us. She was extremely friendly and willing to help with anything you might need. They also have other services available right there including massages (which was amazing), facials, etc. I highly recommend Chabil Mar and hope to go back one day soon!

::I would highly recommend going here. We were at a different destination when we arrived in Placencia we had paid our fees and it was horrible so we splurged and paid the extra money to go here. They are amazing. Nikita at the front desk was so helpful. she was my favorite, of course, and I can’t remember all of their names, but the room service people from the kitchen and our cave tubing in my ruin guide, Alex was more than informational. He was entertaining and very classy. If you want a five star experience, you should go here and ask to do the excursions. They are so accommodating and truly make you feel like family when you’re staying there.

::Loved this place. The staff are brilliant and so attentive. Nothing is too much trouble. We stayed in Villa 2 which was beautiful. Ordering meals is easy and delivered straight to your villa. The kids loved the swimming pool and there’s plenty of extras like floats etc which is great if your kids can’t swim that well. Just exceptional in every way. Staying here really made our trip to Placencia one to remember. We live in the U.K but hope to be back soon!! James, Kay and family.

::Exceptional well-landscaped grounds, large spacious suites, convenient location (on the beach and close to the village), well-maintained pools, and family-friendly. Super quiet and chill! We really enjoyed our stay here and everyone here was so friendly, easy going and professional. They provide free shuttle to the village from 4-10 pm 7 days a week, free pickup and drop off from the Placencia airport, free kayaks, and they provide golf carts to rent. Kitchens are a good size and they have W/D in each suite. High chair and cribs also provided. They provide babysitting service at a reasonable rate. It was extremely flexible and easy to schedule excursions and babysitting with concierge. Minor things: Food was good but not spectacular and bathrooms could be bigger and more modernized. No salt and pepper shaker, coffee creamer or cooking oil/spray provided in kitchen. My favs: seeing the iguanas around the property, the beach toys provided for little kids which my toddler really enjoyed, a hammock outside
