::Earl and Neri were great hosts and took great care of us, providing delicious evening meals and organising our birding tour. They will provide breakfast, lunch and dinner if you ask, which is great because there aren't really any eating out options in town. The water front location is great with a nice view while you eat dinner. The room is somewhat tired but perfectly usable for a few nights stay and amazing value for money. We had two early starts (birding and onward bus journey) and Earl was up both times to make sure we didn't sleep in!

::I stayed at Jacanna Inn for 3 nights recently and had a wonderful time there. Earl and Neri were perfect hosts, collected me from the main road junction, fed me with Neri's fabulous cooking and arranged a birding tour for me. They even took the time to just sit and chat which was lovely. I can't praise them highly enough. It's basic accommodation but it's clean and comfortable with great views over the water and fabulous for bird watching around the hotel. If I come back to Belize I'll definitely visit them again.

::Our stay at the Jacana Inn was the best! It's so peaceful and the breeze off the lagoon keeps it pleasantly cool. Our room was comfortable and clean. The perfect balance of relaxation and affordability. Nary and Earl went above and beyond to feed us, transport us, and arrange tours for us. It was my first time out of my home country and they took so much stress off my shoulders! It was a lovely vacation and we would definitely stay there again.

::We were afraid that crooked tree might be not much to do, but of all Belize until now, we actually liked this place maybe most. Friendliest people. And stay at Jacana Inn! It's right at the lagoon, watch the birds from your porch. They have a canoe to watch them from a bit up more up close. I even went on a horse riding trip, we really had a lovely time. Earl and Nary are the sweetest and will make you feel at home. Large rooms. Lukewarm-ish showers. There is a nice wind so close to the lagoon so it won't get too hot.

::The hotel is locate by the Lagoon which means you can see a lot of bird just by seating at the front yard, if you are into bird watching there are also many trails near by the you can either walk or drive to do bird watching. The hotel itself is a family ran business, there are 12 rooms available, and also more new accommodations are currently being built. The couple who ran this place are the NICEST people you would meet, they are extremely sweet. The lady is an excellent cook, she can prepare food if you request in advance. I give it a definite Yes.
